Cary, IL, USA —Coilcraft Critical Products & Services (CPS) has released its new FRA Family of common mode chokes that virtually eliminate common mode noise in high-speed, differential mode signal transmission applications such as USB 3.0, HDMI, SATA, IEEE1394 and LVDS, supporting data rates up to 4.8 Gbit/s.
The FRA Family is offered in 0603, 0805 and 1206 sizes, all of which pass NASA low outgassing specifications. The use of a chemically-resistive adhesive also helps these parts withstand aggressive solvents.
The AR312FRA Series (Coilcraft 0603USB) supports data rates up to 4.8 Gbit/s, with most values providing more than 100 ohms impedance and 15 dB common mode attenuation.
The AR336FRA Series (Coilcraft 0805USB) offers up to 3.4 GHz differential mode 3 dB cutoff frequency,
2 kOhms common mode peak impedance and 35 dB common mode noise attenuation.
The AR376FRA Series (Coilcraft 1206USB) offers up to 2.7 GHz differential mode 3 dB cutoff frequency, 2.24 kOhms common mode peak impedance and 40 dB common mode noise attenuation.
